De groep creëert muziek die extatische en intieme sferen met elkaar combineert. In april dit jaar heeft de band ‘Teen Tapes (for performing your stunts)’ uitgebracht, wat een vervolg is op ‘Transit Tapes (for women who move furniture around)’ en de tapes serie compleet maakt. De trilogie, die begon met een introverte collectie van slaapliedjes (‘Sleeping Tapes for Some Girls’), laat een groeiend verlangen om te spelen zien. Beetje bij beetje wordt controle opgegeven in de loop van de collectie albums, wat zichtbaar is in het sonische landschap en in de verhalen die tot leven zijn gewekt in hun lyrics. Na een intensieve periode van touren, waarin ze onder andere op Rheeperbahn, Fusion en Left of The Dial speelden, brengen ze nu hun aandacht naar hen nog uit te komen album ‘Heaving’, dat in april volgend jaar uitkomt. De variatie aan materiaal en storytelling die te vinden is in de trilogie, en de toevoeging van materiaal van ‘Heaving’, heeft de groep een kans gegeven om een live set te verkennen die deze sferen samenbrengt. The group, fronted by South African born artist Lucy Kruger, create music that is full of atmosphere and intensity. In April this year the band released, ‘Teen Tapes (for performing your stunts)’, a follow up to their previous record ‘Transit Tapes (for women who move furniture around)’ and the final in their series of tapes. The trilogy, which began with the introverted collection of lullabies, ‘Sleeping Tapes for Some Girls’, documents a growing desire to play. There is a relinquishing of control that happens throughout the course of the three records, both in the sonic landscape and in the stories brought to life through the lyrics. After an intense period of touring over the last year, performing at Rheeperbahn, Fusion, Maifeld Derby, Wave-Gotik Treffen, South of Silence, Immergut, Left of The Dial, and Synästhesie, the band has shifted their focus towards their upcoming album ‘Heaving’ which will be released in April next year.
