Dear documentary lovers,

We feel your hearts are aching for some warming stories, and your minds are ready to be amazed. Great! We have another edition of Docupodium coming up that perfectly suits that type of need. This time with “Met alles wat er is” by Eva Sjerps and “Cargo” by Marina Meijer.

Although dancing might be the last thing you think of when Parkinson’s disease comes to mind, director Eva follows three people who accept this challenge in her film. The patients come together every week at the Scapino Ballet Rotterdam and are guided by professional ballet dancers. While struggling in their movements, they find more to life than their disease shows.
Director Marina Meijer searched for a place where women are almost impossible to find. “Cargo” is a result of this all men micro cosmos and brings us the salty interactions of a group of 14 seafarers. Although the end of their journey comes closer, one of them is not eager to step back on shore.
