DRIFT 2022: Zie, ik maak alles nieuw

Op een kolom van wolken rustte de troon van de mens, maar het misverstand waarin zij geloofde werd te zwaar voor de lucht en verpletterde de werkelijkheid. Totdat ook de mens uit de wolken viel – te pletter op de wereld. De mens is van haar plaats gevallen, het antropoceen een apocalyptische realiteit. Maar luidt de eindtijd niet de belofte van een Nieuwe Hemel en Nieuwe Aarde in? DRIFT kijkt dit jaar rond in de beloftes van het post-antropocentrisme. Ziet ontologische symmetrie, ziet vitale materie, ziet heiligheid in de natuur en vraagt zich af: voor wie zijn de woorden: Zie, Ik maak alles nieuw?

Op zaterdagavond 21 mei 2022 vindt in Tempel en Cinetol te Amsterdam Zuid de zestiende editie van Wijsgerig Festival DRIFT plaats!

DRIFT 2022: See, I make everything anew

On a column of clouds rested the human’s throne, but the mistaken belief that she held grew too heavy for the air and shattered reality. Until the human fell from the clouds also — and crashed on the world. The human has fallen down from where she stood, the anthropocene an apocalyptical reality. But does this end-time not entail the promise of a new heaven and a new earth? This year DRIFT finds its bearings in all that the post-anthropocene makes possible. It sees ontological symmetry, sees vital matter, sees sanctity in nature, and wonders: for whom are these words meant: See, I make all things anew?

On Saturday evening 21 May 2022, the sixteenth edition of Wijsgerig Festival DRIFT will take place in Tempel en Cinetol in Amsterdam South!
